Send 12 Black Flow Artists to AfroNation – Thee Galavanting

In 2022, I took a healing leap and went on a festival trip to Puerto Rico with three hoopers and two friends. It was my first time doing something like that after separating from my husband. I was figuring out who I was again—what kind of joy I wanted, what kind of people I wanted to share it with, and what I wanted to feel in my body.

We laughed. We danced. We cried. We practiced yoga and shared food and moved through both joy and challenge.

It wasn’t perfect—but it was powerful. It taught me that Black flow artists deserve space to travel, feel free, and connect in a way only we can understand.

That trip planted the seed.

Now, in November 2025, I’m taking 12 Black hoopers + flow artists to AfroNation Punta Cana—and I need your help to get us there.

We’re calling it Thee Galavanting Getaway—a curated experience of movement, music, and freedom. Your donation helps cover flights, VIP festival tickets, lodging, and group activities so that cost isn’t a barrier to joy.

Because Black joy isn’t a luxury.

It’s our right.

It’s resistance.

And we deserve this.
