With the city of Austin shutting down to slow the spread of COVID-19, Sellers Underground has closed its doors until at least May 1st, in accordance with city mandates.
This shut down is going to hit the staff hard. Financially, economically, and socially. The staff makes $2.13 an hour plus tips. For most, this is our only source of income and our staff needs all the help we can get.
If you have ever visited Sellers Underground and met our wonderful staff, we encourage you to leave a “tip” for them. Their livelihoods depend on people gathering together, they are suffering the immediate health and economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. 100% of donations raised will be split amongst staff to help them and their families with basic necessities during this difficult time!
As a community, we must stick together in difficult times like these! Sellers is, and will always will be a safe place for the LBGTQIA+ Community to gather and enjoy each others company. With the shut down in effect til at least May 1st, this page will be up, accepting your donations. The Sellers Family is proud to be a part of this community, and we cannot wait to open our doors to you all again soon!!
My name is Adam Stone, and I am the representative for the staff of Sellers Underground here in Austin TX. All of the funds raised will be dispersed to the staff of Sellers Underground. No money will be kept by Sellers Owners of Management. These funds will be used to supplement the income (buy groceries, pay bills, rent etc.) that is being lost due to the mandatory shut down during this Global crisis. The funds will be distributed via Venmo, and Zelle. Thank you all for your generosity during this time of such uncertainty. You kindness will not be overlooked, and will never be forgotten!
