SELIGMAN, AZ Welcome Arches - Fundraiser

Hi, My name is Nancy and I am assisting the Seligman Chamber of Commerce in raising $50,000 to erect wayfinding Welcome Arches on the west and east side entrances to the town of Seligman that will properly brand Seligman as the “Birthplace of Historic Route 66” by the 100th anniversary of Route 66, which happens in 2026.

Show some small-town love for Seligman, Arizona, and the historic Mother Road by helping us reach our goal to build and commemorate these gateway arches in time for the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona's Fun Run in May of 2026! Imagine if each person traveling Route 66 in a year donated a small donation of $5-10 dollars, we would be able to attain our goal by 2026!

We are so proud of what our lifelong resident, Angel Delgadillo, was able to accomplish in founding the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona. We want Angel and the rest of the initial members of the association to commemorate these arches when the association kicks off the Fun Run in May of 2026!

By providing a wayfinding entrance arch into Seligman, we are ensuring that all visitors coming off Interstate 40 understand the significance of visiting the “Birthplace of Historic Route 66”. It will promote interest in gaining more information regarding Historic Route 66 and its vast history, spark a conversation with their grandparent or child, or even inspire a detour on Historic Route 66 instead of returning to the interstate. Just ask Angel Delgadillo, he can share many stories on how visiting Seligman, “The Birthplace of Historic Route 66”, promotes Route 66 and how via word of mouth and social media, many visitors are traveling this Historic American byway.
