Hello! I am an OPRFHS student, and I am looking to raise money to make self-care baskets for nurses at the RUSH Oak Park Telemetry Unit for my Civics Service Project. This project stems from the issue of nursing burnout, which affects roughly 60% of nurses. As a nursing student who completes my clinical hours at RUSH Oak Park, I have witnessed the incredible hard work that the nurses and PCTs on this unit complete. They show extreme dedication to their practice and strongly value the well-being of their patients. For this project, I am raising money, which I will use to make self-care baskets, consisting of aromatherapy products, bath products, and other items. It is important to recognize and thank nurses, as they are the ones who keep our loved ones safe and healthy in the hospitals when they need it most.
