Hello, my name is Dhaneshwor Sunar. I am reaching out with a heavy heart following the sudden passing of my father Shiva Lal Sunar this morning (09th May 2024) due to heart attack. He came to Darwin, Australia to visit us.

During this difficult time, we are faced with the unexpected financial burden of repatriating his body back to Nepal. The process involves significant costs, including international transportation and necessary legal procedures, totalling around $17,000. Currently, our situation is especially challenging as I was recently made redundant when the branch I worked for shut down, and my wife is on maternity leave following the birth of our baby in March. With no steady income at the moment, the financial strain of arranging my father’s final journey home has become overwhelming.
