Seeking financial assistance for Angela Russell’s treatment

Not only does God answer prayers but He also corrects misjudgments. What was told to us to be a malignant tumor in the breast that has metastasized to other areas of body has now been determined to be benign cysts with non malignant lesions throughout certain areas of the body. Although it’s not a clean bill of health, we give God all the praise and Glory for this report!!!!! We are so appreciative of the love, financial support, and prayers from so many. We have contacted GoFundMe to provide refunds to everyone who has donated, but were told we needed to manually refund each person. We will be reaching out via the GoFundMe app to get your preferred method of refund. We will still be sending mom to the lifestyle center but for detox and lifestyle management tips to hopefully prevent any future strokes. If you would like to support this endeavor with the donation already made we would appreciate it, but we are happy to refund every donation. Thank you again for all the love that has been shown. On January 22 our sweet mother and my sister were on their way to an agriculture conference when she suffered a stroke while pumping gas. By God’s grace she was able to get to the hospital and be given an important medication to prevent any further damage to the brain. After about 7 days in ICU, my mother was walking, talking, swallowing, cognizant, and almost back to her baseline. The hospital felt she was ready for discharge to a rehab facility and was removed from ICU to the regular floor. In the midst of praising God for the progress He allowed our mother to make in such a short period, sadly she suffered another stroke. This, in conjunction with unforeseen circumstances outside of our hands, caused our mother to regress to an unconscious state for almost 3 days. After about 3 days she came to but was unable to speak, move her right side, swallow, and, of course, walk. Due to her new deficits she was scheduled to be transferred to another hospital who had an in-house neurology department. During this waiting period to get transferred, the family was informed that my mother likely has late stage breast cancer. This was later preliminarily confirmed by the oncologist at the new hospital who opined that the cancer was likely the cause of her stroke due to cancer’s tendency to thicken the blood and easily create blood clots. Testing is currently being done to get more answers.

Today our mother is again talking, walking (with the aid of a walker), eating with no difficulties, and in very good spirits. We are consistently lifting our prayers to God seeking His wisdom, guidance, and healing power.

We are humbly asking for financial assistance in sending our mom to a lifestyle center with licensed physicians and nurses who will aid in teaching my mom lifestyle techniques which can boost her natural immune system to help fight this horrible disease. Unfortunately, we are unable to use our insurance so the costs will be out of pocket. However, we love and serve a God who has and will continue to provide all our needs.
