For 17 years, Sommer Woods gave her time, energy, money, and most of all, her heart to hundreds of young people through the Midnight Golf Program. She wasn’t just a mentor—she was a mirror, a motivator, a ride home, a safe space, and a life-changer.
Now, as she closes this chapter with MGP, we’re planting something new in her honor: the Seeds of Sommer Fund—a community-powered tribute to the legacy she’s built and the work she’ll continue to do.
What Is This Fund?
The Seeds of Sommer Fund is a pay-it-forward initiative supporting the future students Sommer will continue to uplift, mentor, and guide outside of MGP. Whether it’s helping with school costs, providing life guidance, or opening doors of opportunity, this fund will be a resource Sommer can draw from to keep watering the next generation of leaders.
All donations will support:
- College prep and transitional support for underserved students
- Emergency needs (books, clothes, travel, life essentials)
- Mentorship enrichment experiences (events, workshops, etc.)
- A starter resource fund for Sommer’s continued youth development work
