Today, a vacant lot sits at 1550 W. 28th Street in Riviera Beach, just waiting to become a neighborhood gathering space. On the weekend of September 22nd, Seeds of Change, residents of the area, a sea of local volunteers and, and Lindsey Davis Community Center members will transform this lot into a thriving community garden.
The garden will provide locals access to organically-grown produce, where community members—young and old—can gather, enjoy the green space and participate in managing the garden. The garden will be a place that nourishes not just the body, but the very life of the community in which it sits.
You can support this project in many ways! We invite each of you to donate what you can - every donation counts —large or small!! Every $5 donation made is as impactful as $100 donations. TOGETHER WE WILL BUILD COMMUNITY DREAMS INTO REALITY AND PLANT SEEDS OF CHANGE!
This GoFundMe is one part of our fundraising efforts. Our BIG GOAL is to raise $20,000 - including our commitment to secure several large donations from outside contributors who believe in the rippling effect that community gardens have on our neighborhood's and planet’s well-being.
Other ways to support Seeds of Change and the next Lindsey Davis Community Center garden is to sign-up to volunteer. We will be building this garden September 22nd and 23rd. You can sign-up on our Facebook page and through our website: SeedsofChangeCommunity.org.
Lastly, your help is greatly needed in getting the word out! Please share our campaign with your network. We have a Seeds of Change Community page on Facebook - where you can “like” and share our page, as well as declare that you’re “GOING” to our build weekend.
We thank you for your love, support, shared vision for the world, energy and connection to our project!
