Help Keep the New Westminster Youth Hub Open
Right now, hundreds of young people in our community rely on the New Westminster Youth Hub as a safe place to go.
For the past three years, the Hub has supported over 350 youth annually, providing a consistent, low-barrier space where they can access support, find connection, and feel safe.
Some come for food.
Some come for support.
Some come because it is the only place where someone knows their name.
What they find is stability, trust, and people who care.
What the Youth Hub Provides
Operated by Purpose Society, the Youth Hub offers prevention-focused support for youth aged 12 to 24 facing challenges such as mental health concerns, substance use, housing instability, and isolation.
Youth can access:
A safe, welcoming drop-in space
Food and basic needs support
Mental health and substance use services
Life skills and employment support
Education support and access to computers
Connection to housing, healthcare, and community services
This is often the first place youth turn before situations escalate.
Why This Matters Now
Federal funding for the Youth Hub ends on March 31, and there is currently no confirmed funding to continue.
Without immediate support, the Hub may be forced to close.
If that happens, the need does not disappear. Youth will still require support, but without early intervention, many will end up in crisis systems such as emergency rooms or the justice system.
The Youth Hub works because it intervenes early, builds relationships, and provides consistent support before problems escalate.
How Your Support Helps
Your donation directly supports:
Meals and snacks
Program supplies and activities
Transportation for youth
Safe space and daily operations
Even a small contribution helps keep the doors open.
Be Part of Keeping This Open
This is more than a program. It is a critical support system for young people in our community.
If you are able, please donate or share this campaign.
Because when this space is here, young people have somewhere to go.
And that changes everything.
