Hello, my name is Ashley and this is my AMAZING and intelligent son, Percival.

A little over a year ago, we escaped a horrible domestic violence situation that we were trapped in for 4 years. Over this last year, our lives have changed drastically and for the most part, for the better! Percival was able to attend the school of his dreams, and we are in a safe and happy place finally.

So why are we here? What is the purpose of this fundraiser? I am never one to ask for help. I am not looking for a “hand out.” I am a hard worker and a very independent woman. But I had to look at the reality of my situation and humble myself so that I can ensure my son’s future is safe and secure.

The beginning of last month, I unexpectedly lost my job. Between bills, back to school, and a VERY hungry and growing 11-year-old boy, I have been stretched thin. Life throws you punches, and all you really can do is learn how to roll with them. I have an amazing job opportunity on the horizon, but I am currently battling the possibility of homelessness if I cannot get my bills back on track.

I am coming to you all with humility and love and asking for any assistance or donations that you can provide. I have learned in my life that when you lower your walls and allow God and your community to help, miracles can happen.
