Hi, my name is Shanna, and along with my husband Darrell, we are raising funds to adopt our sweet great-niece, Opal.

Opal was born on March 7, 2024, and from the moment she entered our lives on July 19, she has captured our hearts completely.

She’s a joyful, bright-eyed little girl who deserves a future full of safety, love, and laughter. Sadly, Opal was placed with us after serious allegations of abuse were made. Her biological father has already been convicted of abusing another child, and while her mother’s case is still under investigation, we are doing everything in our power to keep Opal safe — permanently.

We urgently need your help to adopt Opal and make her a permanent, protected member of our family.

She will grow up surrounded by six loving siblings and two parents dedicated to giving her a stable, nurturing future. But legal fees, home studies, and court costs are adding up quickly — and we must move fast to protect her.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward adoption costs (and any extra will help with Opal’s future needs). Even a $5 donation brings us closer to giving Opal the forever home she deserves.
