Help Zozo & His Family Escape War and Rebuild Their Live

Dear Kind Hearts Across the World,
My name is Zain, but everyone calls me Zozo. I’m only two years old, and I should be laughing, playing, and discovering the world with wide-eyed wonder. Instead, I’m learning what it means to be afraid—all the time.
Before October, my life was full of love. My big brother Khaled (6) and I spent our days chasing waves on the beach, giggling as our father taught us how to build little homes for the birds he brought us. Our tiny feathered friends were our joy—until the bombs took them too.
Then, everything shattered.
Now, instead of going to school, Khaled learns how to dodge explosions. Instead of bedtime stories, we hear the thunder of airstrikes. I don’t understand why the sky is so loud or why my mother’s hands shake when she holds me. I just know that when I wake up crying at night, only my father’s arms can make me feel safe—if only for a moment.
We’ve run from place to place, but nowhere in Gaza is safe. Our home is broken. The birds are gone. The bombs stole even our stuffed animals and storybooks. Winter came, and I couldn’t tell the difference between rain and missiles. Hunger gnaws at us every day—clean water is a luxury, and medicine is almost impossible to find.
My father was a graphic designer, creating beautiful things with his hands. Now, with no electricity, no internet, and his tools destroyed, he can’t work. No work means no food, no hope.
But I still dream.
I dream of a life where Khaled and I can play without fear. Where my father can work again. Where my mother doesn’t have to choose between feeding us or keeping us warm. Where we can rebuild—not just our home, but our future.
We Need Your Help
Your kindness can give us a lifeline. With your support, we can:
Escape to safety and find shelter where we won’t fear for our lives every second.
Access food, clean water, and medicine—basic things we’ve been without for months.
Rebuild our home and replace my father’s tools so he can work again and provide for us.
Even if you can’t donate, sharing our story could save us. Every prayer, every post, every act of compassion brings us closer to safety.
Please—help us be children again.
With endless hope and gratitude,
Zain (Zozo) & Family
