Bess and Jake shared a beautiful love story that was cut far too short by cancer. Jake fought a long and challenging battle, but unfortunately, he is no longer here to meet baby Athena at the time of her birth, anticipated in October. Most of their resources have been utilized to try to save Jake's life and assist in his battle against squamous cell carcinoma. This fundraiser is dedicated to Bess for her postpartum needs and for Athena's future which we know will be bright. Funds will go towards anticipated medical expenses, childcare support, and making sure Bess continues to eat as Jake requested.
