Secret Sauce Serves

On March 31st the Steuben’s Truck had the privilege of donating 60 meals to the hard working doctors, nurses and healthcare workers at Denver Health. This was due, in part, to the generous funds raised by Feed Media and the Feeding Colorado Heroes Campaign. We are so grateful for this opportunity. There has been such a tremendous response to our efforts that we’ve decided to start our own fund to continue this important work of feeding not only the HEROES of this pandemic but also the young adults served by Urban Peak, one of our adopted non-profits that serves the at-risk and homeless youth of Denver. 

Healthcare workers have always been on the front line in protecting our community. Today, as a result of COVID-19, these selfless professionals are working multi-day shifts with little or no time for meals, trips home or to the grocery store. To top things off, hospital cafeterias are becoming more limited every day as item like salad bars and buffets are removed and pre-packaged products are the only options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Urban Peak volunteers have not been able to provide their services as readily and safely as normal, leaving the youth they serve without nutritious meals for days. 

Our goal is to deliver 60 nutritious meals to Denver Health and a hot, healthy dinner to the Urban Peak shelter residents once a week. Your donation will also help keep a tiny crew of our staff employed, to continue to serve our unemployed staff daily meals and continue to give our amazing and loyal guests a taste of the comfort that is Steuben’s. 

In the past, those of us in the restaurant industry have been the ones to dive in when our community is in need. We’re there to comfort with delicious food and a smile when things get tough. Today, with 3 of our 4 restaurants temporarily closed and one, Steuben’s Uptown, fighting to stay connected and afloat with take out and delivery, we are asking for your help. With a donation of any amount you will help us achieve our goal of feeding Denver Health staff and Urban Peak youth.  

***If, for some unforeseen reason, we need to close our doors and discontinue delivery to these organizations the money raised will be donated to other funds doing the same work…feeding the healthcare workers and homeless youth.***
