SECOND HIGHEST MARATHON IN THE WORLD!

My name is Surya Gurung and I will be running ANNAPURNA MARATHON on 3rd June 2025 with my colleagues to raise money towards TAMU PYE LHU SANGH GHANDRUK.

We are undertaking this initiative to raise funds for the construction of a community house—a vital space dedicated to promoting cultural awareness, and to restoring and preserving the rich heritage of the Gurung community and beyond.

This community house will serve as a permanent space to document, teach, and celebrate these traditions, ensuring that younger generations remain connected to their identity. As Nepal continues to modernize, many indigenous cultures face the risk of fading away. This centre aims to be a cultural hub not only for the Gurung people but for the wider community—fostering understanding, unity, and pride in our shared cultural diversity.
