Sealing Sophia's Ceiling, Sustaining Sanctuary
Donation protected
Hi! I'm Rowan and I'm helping raise funds for Sophia Wise One .
Sophia is incredibly skilled at guiding people to advocate for themselves, their wants, their needs, their truths. I'm excited to be aiding her in doing the same.
During the last couple of weeks of profound grief in response to the death of multiple of her dearest friends and family members, the roof of her mobile home has also started to leak more. She has also been providing care to another dear friend who is near the end of life and in hospice. Grief and holding space for others who are grieving is warranting her time and energy. Some logistical elements to fix the physical cannot be tended to while also navigating so many unexpected costs, continuing to provide care to self and others, and navigating one grief process after another.
Sophia's access to a dry place to sleep is fundamental for her well-being. We don't need when it rains it pours to be so literal.
Anything you can provide is welcome. That could be donating directly. It could be sharing this with someone with more financial resources who can help. It could be providing knowledge, experience, and time in the near future to fix her home.
In Sophia's words:
"I am looking for help.
My RV roof is leaking and needs fixing and a few small other fixes are needed. I planned to do this work myself with a few hands this October, but grief and bereavement have taken October. My body has experienced some injury and I am getting the message I need to do less, not more.
The budget is tight, and I am getting work estimates on who can do this work for me, and for how much.
This work needs to get done by winter, or even before driving it somewhere warmer, or stored somewhere dry.
Help wanted and welcome. thanks
I have a 31' fifth wheel, Damon Challenger 1994. I had plans to do a Silicone RV Roof Sealant Coating (the link takes you to the product and style of that fix at the bottom) myself. Due to the number of life circumstances and family deaths, the season seems to be ending, and I am looking at options for having this done for me.
I have 12 solar panels on my roof in addition to the normal roof gear, my air conditioner unit needs a new gasket.
Please let me know if you would be able to do this work for me, and an estimate:
scrape, wash, remove mounted items
Silicone Sealant Coating on the entire roof
remounting the roof things
air conditioner gaskets
(recharging the air conditioner if you can, I know the unit can be, just don't know if you will)
caulking of the sidelinings as well
(depending on budget I have a few other things that could use tending.)
Please send an outlined estimate for this work with the products listed below:
thank you,
Sophia"
