Volunteering in Peru!

My name is Jess Fuller and for 4 weeks in the summer of 2025, I have an amazing educational opportunity to volunteer with Camps International in Peru.

I have already raised some of the money through my after school job, dog sitting and selling sweets and dog biscuits, and I am going to do a sponsored parachute jump to boost my fundraising, which I'm hoping will raise at least half of the money.

The trip is not a holiday and will entail a lot of hard physical labour whilst we work alongside rural communities to assist the local skilled trades people to help with plastering, painting and low-level construction. We will be involved in environmental, wildlife and community projects so the work will vary from helping to build toilet blocks for schools and community medical facilities to planting trees and creating sustainable food sources.

The expedition follows the UN's "sustainable development goals" which are designed to make a significant and long-lasting impact on the region.

Update: the parachute jump should take place on the 6th October this year, as long as the weather is okay :)
