Patches is a sweet, 9 month old hound puppy that has had a rough life with the cards she was dealt.

She spent the first several months of her life as a stray, had puppies and was hit by a car.

A very kind woman found her and took her to Macon Moves Animal Care where on May 24th, Ms. Patches found her forever home and things started to look up for her until she fell very ill.

First she was treated for a bad eye infection, and declined very quickly from there. She was taken to an emergency vet where they referred her to UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

She is now at UGA fighting for her life... She has been placed in an oxygen tent so she can breathe a little easier. She has been diagnosed with pulmonary edema, heartworms, and blastomycosis (a rare fungal infection). With her lungs full of liquid and her energy sapped, Patches has been given a 10-15% survival rate but, the angels at UGA are fighting tirelessly for her.

Her mama has already spent a few thousand in vet bills, and with the prolonged hospital stay she is looking at thousands more. She has been told that treatment could end up being $10-$15 thousand..

I created this GoFundMe to try and alleviate some of the financial hardship her mama is facing. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated. Her mama, S. Nikki Hall, would give everything she owns to save her baby.
