The San Diego State Aztecs football football community is coming together once again to raise money, collect clothing, provide meals, and support San Diego’s unhoused community through another Hometown Hero Block Party.
With SDSU football players Lucky Sutton, Tano Letuli, and Josiah Cox leading the way, this movement continues to show how athletes can use their platform to make a real impact off the field. What started as a group of athletes wanting to give back has grown into a community-driven effort focused on showing love, building connections, and supporting those going through hard times.
This upcoming block party will provide hot meals, clothing, hygiene essentials, music, games, and resources for individuals and families experiencing homelessness throughout San Diego. The goal is not only to help provide necessities, but also to create an environment where people feel welcomed, respected, and valued.
With support from SDSU athletes, local volunteers, and community partners, every donation goes toward helping make the event possible and continuing the mission of giving back to the city that raised them.

With the help of SDSU athletes, local organizations, community volunteers, and supporters across San Diego, the event aims to continue building a stronger community through action. Every donation helps provide food, clothing, supplies, and resources directly to those in need.
Daygos Finest believes giving back is bigger than one event — it’s about creating lasting impact and using sports, leadership, and community to bring people together.
