Hey all! Sarah here. I’m writing to you, reaching out for our family as we enter into this new season with my Dad and his journey through hospice care. Many of you know him as the larger-than-life, Jesus-loving, fix-anything-with-a-hug, breakfast-and-a-round-of-golf kind of man. Over the years, I’ve seen miracle after miracle in his life. He is a man after God’s own heart, one who could get a rock to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. I’ve watched him give his time, talents, and treasure to everyone around him with joy for as long as I can remember, regardless of his circumstance.
Over the years, we have watched him battle congestive heart failure, strokes, and accidents. The enemy has worked overtime to take out this powerhouse of a man. At this time, his body is now tired and like Samson, he is coming to the end. Battling not only congestive heart failure but now renal failure and stroke-induced dementia as well. Our family is trying to navigate what comes next and are reaching out for your help.
Hospice is sending a nurse 3x a week, but my father needs round-the-clock care. As a one-income family, I don’t want my mom to feel stress as she has to choose between the love of her life and providing for his needs with finances. God is in control of all things and we know He will make a way. He’s told me so. Please partner with me in any way possible, whether it be prayer, visiting him before he leaves, or helping with finances. Anything is greatly appreciated. We love you all and will keep you updated as we walk this road hand in hand.
Anything that is received will go towards helping take care of my dad. Allowing my mom to take care of him round the clock and to go towards medical bills, medications, supplies and what comes next.
