Help my family to evacuate from Gaza
Donation protected
Ever since the war broke out in Gaza, my life has been at a standstill.
Whilst I am currently safe in Canada, my immediate family members in Gaza have endured weeks of violence, surviving what can only be described as the genocide of the Palestinian people.
My name is Nesma Alatrash, and I live in Canada 6 years ago, but my family stuck in Gaza during this war. I lost my beloved Mom and my grandmother a month ago.
I have a young brother and sister who need someone to take care of them since my Dad is sick and elderly.
From the very beginning of the aggression, my family's house which is located in Gaza city was destroyed by an airstrike. My family lost their warm home and currently are displaced in Mawasi Khanyouins. My married sister Yasmin still in the northern Gaza region, and she has 4 kids one of them still baby born who is 4 weeks old and they need food and water to survive.
The situation has deteriorated, and people are starving. I have been feeling extremely guilty for eating, sleeping and having a safe home here in Canada while my family ,my sister Yasmin along with her 4 kids are facing starvation and death everyday.
Now, there is a beacon of hope. The Canadian government is launching a crisis program, allowing Canadian passport holders an opportunity to help evacuate their families to the safety of Canada. As we'll be able to apply. This is our only chance to save them. After the severe trauma they have experienced in Gaza, they now have a chance to escape a certain death.
The funds raised will go towards covering the costs of their relocation, travel expenses, accommodation and initial living expenses while they set themselves up.
Finally, I would like to extend my gratitude to those who step in and donate. Every single donation will definitely make a difference and will alleviate the suffering of a human being.
