Hi, I’m Brittany. I’m 39 now years old and have 3 children (14, 9, 7). I was a bit hesitant to do this because I don’t like needing, let alone asking for help in this type of way.

In October of 2024, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Type Her2Positive with a PalB2 gene. On November 13, 2024, I underwent major surgery, a Bilateral Mastectomy (removal of both breasts). Before my surgery, I had less than a month to try and get everything in order. Not much time after starting over and trying to rebuild from my previous struggle. Never did I imagine I would have cancer and be in this situation at my age. Especially since I just started back working in 2023 after being a stay-at-home mom for 7 years because my 8-year-old has a heart disorder and had open-heart surgery. So, to go from feeling helpless and a burden on my parents to finally getting myself back in the work world, to not making it a whole 2 years and being back off work because of cancer, is no easy pill to swallow.

I've tried so many things to apply for assistance during this time, so any help is greatly appreciated.

August 27, 2025 I had my stage 2 surgery of this breast cancer journey. They removed the tissue expanders and put in implants. So I’ve been at my mom’s recovering. Since I’m back off work life still collects its coins. Kids went back to school and the help I was said was going to be given didn’t come through so I’m back asking for your help. Anything helps. I’m still trying to maintain while recovering from my last surgery n being off 5-6 months.
