We're raising £10,000 for The Sick Children’s Trust, a charity that provides free ‘Homes from Home’ and emotional support for families with seriously ill children in hospital.
This campaign is part of a collective fundraising effort by The Sick Children’s Trust’s Shadow Board members and supporters, running from August to November, and culminating in donations being released to the charity via The Big Give match-funding campaign (2–9 December) – where your gift will be doubled.
How your support will help:
- £40 will provide one night stay for a family
- £100 will pay for vital House staff support
- £280 will pay for a family to stay for one week
The Challenge
We’re setting ourselves a bold target: to collectively travel the hundreds of miles between The Sick Children’s Trust’s Homes, walking, running, and cycling to raise awareness and vital funds. We’ll be tracking our mileage using Strava, and everyone is encouraged to take on their own personal challenge – whether it’s a 5K walk, a 100-mile run, or a long-distance bike ride.
The campaign launches on 4 September with a group 5K walk between two of the charity’s Homes (Guilford Street House and Stevenson House) in London, and the fundraising will continue from there.
How You Can Help
• Donate – every pound counts, and will be doubled during The Big Give!
• Share this fundraiser with friends, family, and networks.
• Join the challenge by becoming part of the team and helping us reach our collective goal. Let’s go the distance – together – for the families who need The Sick Children’s Trust the most.
How the Funds Will Be Handled
All funds raised through this GoFundMe page will be withdrawn into a personal account managed by the campaign organisers. From there, the full amount will be donated directly to The Sick Children’s Trust during The Big Give week (2–9 December) – when all donations will be matched, doubling their impact.
We are committed to full transparency and will:
• Share receipts or proof of donation here on the GoFundMe page once funds are released.
• Provide regular updates on fundraising progress, mileage milestones, and participant stories.
