Scrubs For Hillingdon

The national emergency of making scrubs for our NHS has had overwhelming support across the UK and For The Love of Scrubs has been at the forefront of supporting the making of these.
For The Love of Scrubs – Hillingdon Working Group was set up as a sub group on the 22nd of March to provide scrubs for front line teams in the borough of Hillingdon.
From small beginnings, our team of volunteers has grown to over 200 currently sewing sets to deliver to the Hospitals, Local GP's, Community Nurses, Hospices, Care Homes and the local Covid Hot Hubs.
Everyday, we are getting more and more requests for scrubs and, we are frantically trying to source fabrics, which are short in supply. Our current supply of materials has been self-funded by the volunteers and family and friends. This is a great example of local, talented people who are staying at home and helping this cause where they can.
Due to the increased requirement for scrubs locally, we need to work more efficiently and effectively to meet these demands. We have been fortunate to secure the services of a local company, Threads London Ltd, who have volunteered to put at the group’s disposal, their experience and expertise in production management from bulk cutting to logistics and administration.
We are now fundraising to purchase large quantities of fabric and supplies to produce at the very least 2,000 scrubs. Therefore, our target is to raise £20,000 urgently. Please note that all surplus funds would be passed on to local health charities.
We recognise that many of us are having financial difficulties at this time, so please only donate if you are able to, and please share the link with your contacts.
