Trip of a lifetime to Kandersteg Scout Centre.

1st Newmarket Scouts, 1st Exning Scouts and Pegasus Explorers are three groups based in the Newmarket District. We are joining forces to take a group of young people to Kandersteg International Scout Centre (KISC) in Switzerland during the summer of 2025.

We have never done an international trip before, and we are very excited to be able to offer this opportunity to our young people. We very much look forward to meeting scouts from all over the world, and learning what international scouting looks like.

We will be fund-raising over the preceding 20 months so that we can subsidise the cost of the trip, enabling as many scouts to come along as possible.

Some Activities we are hoping to do are hiking, climbing, overnight stay in mountain hut toboggan run, cable car ride, swim in mountain lakes and a Scout program based on international friendship. We will also be carrying our service project in the local community to help maintain facilities and look after the environment. As well as indulging in the Swiss culture and food.
