Scouting in Musselburgh is very much part of the local community and the scouts have decided to raise funds for The Hollies & First Steps Nursery, both are local charities within Musselburgh.

The Hollies has been operating on Musselburgh High Street since 1962 it provides a fantastic meeting place for old & young people from Musselburgh & surrounding areas to meet in a warm friendly & safe place to eat & drink freshly made food and have a wee bleather.

First Step are a community project for families with young children, based in the Musselburgh East housing estate. Set up in 1990 by a group of local parents who wanted somewhere safe and comfortable where they could meet and their children could play.

With support from the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS), the scouts aim to walk 6,000,000 steps during July, approximately equivalent to 2,500 miles, we will measure and update GoFundMe with weekly updates on progress during July.

All fund raised will given to our two nominated charities, this is an opportunity for our scouts to give back to their local community
