Scout Yacht and Gertrude - Mother to be Duck

Donation protected
Hello,

Now this is a very unusual tale and you may think it a bit Quackers!

'SUPETA' the Scout Community Yacht (www.supeta.co.uk) has a very unusual feathery problem in the name of Gertrude.

Gertrude is a rather friendly Mallard Duck who decided that 'SUPETA' is the ideal place to secretly build a nest and lay eggs. Finding the most quiet and secretive place she has been popping onboard and making herself at home.

However this is one of 'SUPETA's busiest times taking young people from all backgrounds and disabilities out sailing. Hundreds learn to sail, work as a team, do things that they had no idea they could do. The age range varies from 4 year olds upwards. A tremendous asset that took a fantastic effort by volunteers to get get in service.

Legally being a nesting bird, all of this has to now stop until Gertrude's eggs hatch and the fluffy ducklings to be, scramble across the deck and into the water.

So 'SUPETA' being a charity, now has a major financial problem as relies on user donations to cover mooring, insurance and running costs. If she does not sail, has no income coming in. Unfortunately Gertrude is not in a position to help being a 'mother to be' with all her time taken up by sitting on the eggs.

Please readers would you be so kind to donate and help us get through this unforseen although happy problem?

Thank you.
