Hi,

This year we are hoping to send teams to far-flung Uzbekistan to represent Scotland in the chess Olympiad. Although certain costs are met by the host nation, we still need to raise money towards flights, accommodation, and team kit.

We have some of the strongest young players in the UK who we would love to see represent Scotland on the biggest stage in the world. However, from £1million in recent UK government funding for chess, sadly Chess Scotland received £zero, hence this public appeal.
