<div>This year we are hoping to send teams to far-flung Uzbekistan to represent Scotland in the chess Olympiad. Although certain costs are met by the host nation, we still need to raise money towards flights, accommodation, and team kit.

<div>We have some of the strongest young players in the UK who we would love to see represent Scotland on the biggest stage in the world. However, from £1million in recent UK government funding for chess, sadly Chess Scotland received £zero, hence this public appeal.
