My brother Scott, a veteran who served active duty in the Air Force for 10 years and 10 more years as a civil servant, had his liver transplant surgery on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Thanks to everyone for your donations so far! The surgery went well, and the liver is functional and stable, but he had some complications from the surgery that are keeping him at the hospital longer than expected. He has a small hole in one of his lungs, which only time can heal, but he has to stay in the hospital while it heals. That can be from three weeks to eight months! His oxygen is also low because of this major surgery and from the hole in his lung. They also found two blood clots, one behind his rib cage and one in his leg, that they treated. Please keep him, his wife Kristina, and their three kids in your thoughts and prayers. Kristina is out of work for quite some time while she stays with Scott during this long recovery battle.
