I am raising funds for a family I volunteered with in Litang, Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan, China.

Tashi-Wangmo, Sherub-Oder, and Shangchupgyatsen are Tibetan children that live in Litang. Their mother left them in 2023. This has left them to be raised by their father Rinchen, who is also taking care of their elderly grandmother Arco. Due to having to look after his three children and his mother Rinchen is unable to get a full time job. There are no good full time jobs in Litang, Rinchen would need to go to Chengdu or another larger city in order to get a good job which he cannot do because he must take care of his family in Litang. He is trying his best to make ends meet by taking tourists on guided trips to the nomadic villages near Litang in the summer and teaching English online to Tibetans (he charges on a case by case basis, often times it is free).

School Clothes: $217/year per child = $650 a year
