In rural Epe, Nigeria, a staggering number of children are unable to attend school due to poverty and lack of resources. Many of these children are at risk of falling into a cycle of poverty that will be hard to break.

In 2023, Tagfour Nursery & Primary School was founded in this community to provide basic education for children free of charge. The school started with just six children and has grown by nearly 300% in just one year, showing the overwhelming need for education in this area. However, the current school space—just 820 square feet—can no longer accommodate the children who need it.

The school has had to turn away new students, leaving many children without access to education. Without a proper building, this school is at risk of being unable to continue helping the children who depend on it. The parents and guardians of these children are unable to afford any other form of schooling due to severe poverty. If this school does not expand, a generation of children will remain illiterate and vulnerable, unable to escape the harsh cycle of poverty.

Our Goal:

We aim to raise £19,000 to purchase land and build a modest school bungalow to accommodate the growing number of children who need it. A proper school building will allow us to offer free education to many more children, giving them the opportunity to learn, grow, and break free from the constraints of poverty.
