School and boarding for Ukrainian children

had the most beautiful opportunity to serve the people of Ukraine in Poland. The toll of war and political crisis are causing human anguish on a scale unseen in a generations. The scope of suffering today is striking.
These are my beautiful students. I hope to be and instrument of love with my life, to bring joy and safety with all of my heart. I love children and feel called in my life to help these innocent babies that are the future of the world. I see how war affects children, I’m learning how to rehabilitate war-affected children, and who are forced to move into refugee or displaced homes and camps where they wait for years in miserable circumstances for normal life to resume, if it ever does. It is time to examine the nature of who we are how we are keeping ourselves and caring for one another-what is the nature of our relationships. I can’t find the words to express that people are suffering like we have never experienced. They have nothing, no money, no home, no family, no job, death is overcoming them… you know though, they still have hope, joy and meet me everyday with a hug and smile. I didn’t know what strength, courage and bravery was until I met the people of Ukraine.
The abandoned school we are rehabilitating for the the women and children Ukrainian refugees. The communal living conditions house need some improvements. The assessment that the biggest improvements would be to add closets and other shelves/storage space, and also to improve the flooring!
Housing Improvements:
Cabinet Organizer/Closets: $2,000 each x 5 rooms = $10,000
Flooring: $2,400
The mothers also have limited income, if any, so they are mostly serving their children starchy foods since flour is inexpensive. The children could definitely benefit from access to more vegetables, fruit, and protein with your financial support! The children will continue to receive a balanced lunch at school until the end of the school year, June 30th, so we have created a budget to provide the families with nutritious foods that they can add to their meals for breakfast and dinner. The estimated cost would be $12/day per child, which would provide them boxes of milk, assorted fruits and vegetables, fruit juice, meat and cheese. There are currently 10 children who live in the Refugee House right now, but Dorota said we could easily distribute groceries for up to 30 Ukrainian children at a few different locations.
Groceries:
$12/day x 10 children = $120 per day
$120/day x 30 days = $3,600
If funds allow, there are an additional 20 more children who could benefit from nutritious meals.
($12/day x 20 children x 30 days = $7,200)
Please be love, show love and do our part for humankind. Please consider helping with anything possible!
Thank you sincerely,
