Scholarship Fund in Memory of Chris Katz

The family and friends of Chris Katz have created this fundraiser to create a scholarship fund in memory of Christopher Katz.

At just 22 years old, Chris left an unforgettable mark on the lives of so many. His kindness, loyalty, and unwavering determination made him an incredible person to know and love. Chris was a force of nature—driven, compassionate, and endlessly curious. He never backed down from a challenge and poured himself into everything he did. Whether it was sports, academics, or learning a new skill just to share in the passions of those he cared about, he embraced every experience with an open heart. His love for all sports especially baseball, football , MMA, music, anime, and the great outdoors was only surpassed by his love for his family and friends. To Chris, friendship was a bond without limits—his little brother’s friends became his own, and his loyalty knew no bounds.

Chris was immensely proud to serve with the United States Capitol Police (USCP), standing alongside his fellow officers to protect democracy and defend those who serve our nation. His devotion to duty was unwavering—he learned the names of every senator and congressperson, taking immense pride in the responsibility he carried. His brothers and sisters in service have shown us just how deeply they cared for him, and we are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from his USCP ROC 253 classmates, fellow service members, and the entire law enforcement and military community.

Beyond the uniform, Chris was a son, a brother, a mentor, and a friend to so many. He was always the first to offer a helping hand, the first to stand up for others, and the first to make someone smile with his humor and warmth. His dreams were boundless—No matter the goal, if Chris set his mind to it, he would achieve it.

Now we wish to honor Chris by recognizing a student graduating from high school each year.
