Hi! My name is Heather Medlin and I have had the pleasure of knowing Paris & Austin for many years. I attended their wedding in 2016 and had the pleasure of seeing them become wonderful and loving parents. Paris & Austin were great together, and had a precious little boy named Knox who just celebrated his second birthday earlier this month.

Austin left for work Saturday morning and never returned home that evening as he always had. The family had plans that afternoon. As Paris waited for Austin, unable to reach him, she knew something was terribly wrong as this was out of character for Austin. Paris immediately filed a police report and after learning of the laws regarding a missing person, and law enforcement being very limited in how they can help for the first 48 hours, Paris quickly organized search and rescue efforts to find her beloved husband. After searching and waiting, Austin’s car was found on his route home from work. He was in a single car accident that claimed his life just before his 28th birthday. Sadly, Paris just learned yesterday on 9/28, that she lost the love of her life and father of their precious and sweet little boy, Knox. Paris, at the very young age of 26, is now a widow.

Austin has supported his wife and family endlessly, enabling Paris to complete her Masters in Public Administration (and just graduated this past summer). Austin was the sole provider for his family, as Paris has yet to began her career after just graduating . Austin was a loving husband, father, brother, friend, and so much more. He will be remembered for all of those qualities and more.

Funds raised will allow Paris to create a scholarship fund to ensure Knox’s future and provide him with stability through this difficult time as they grieve the loss of a husband and father.
