Scenic Sotheby's International Realty's participation in Food For Thought's Fifth Annual Stock the Pantry Party on August 23 is in full swing and we want to give you multiple, easy ways to get involved.
This event is one of the most important events of the year for children who live in food insecure homes in Walton and Okaloosa Counties. It helps to fill empty shelves and supply about six weeks of food to kids in need as they head back to school.
More than 50 million people in the U.S. live in households that are food insecure. In Walton and Okaloosa Counties alone, 1 in 7 children live in food insecure homes.
Food For Thought is privately funded, meaning they do not receive state or federal funds. They raise all of their own funds through donors, grants and events to support their programs.

Each monetary donation will be credited to the primary office where the agent or assistant works. Our controller at Scenic SIR, Jeff Warda, will withdraw the funds and categorize them appropriately so we can make the food purchase.
We know you all like competitions and to win! We need to donate 15-20,000 food items or raise about $5,000 to $8,000 in purchased food.
Or, you may still opt to bring in non-perishable food items of your own to any of our offices - Destin, Blue Mountain Beach and 30Avenue - from now until August 22 at noon, including:
