The Han Project (formerly Project LiftyBoi) is a community-based mutual aid project created to fill the gap in access to Han Training for queer, trans, and disabled people of color. Currently the number of trans-centering, trauma-informed, fat-liberated and accessible fitness spaces are slim to none, and Han Training was created as a way to provide such a space.
We currently serve the local Chicago community, but have members nationwide who access our services virtually and otherwise! Please visit our website HERE for more information.
The Han Project is a grassroots based fundraiser that acts as an intermediary between any individual donor and the QTPOC community. Funds from The Han Project have gone and will continue to go towards Han Training in order to provide the following:
- financial accessibility for QT/BIPOC and disability communities - we do not require any validation or proof of income for this aid
- staff payroll + benefits
- maintenance of our brick and mortar location in Chicago, IL
As of October, 2023, Han Training has personally donated over $15,000 in financial accessibility to our members since our opening in January 2022.
