I was scammed by Chris Harkins but I was actually repaid (£3,247) by him after I threatened to expose him (and I did anyway).

But the other women were never repaid a penny and collectively they lost £214,000.

I’m convinced that the goodness in the world outweighs the bad in him.

Collectively these women have done the bravest thing and because of them he’s now behind bars - which protects countless other women (and men).

But they won’t ever get back what was earned honestly and then taken from them. I don’t expect or even want to raise the full amount he took but I would love for every woman who had to endure this cruelty and then a harrowing court case - to maybe be able to try to make new memories with it.

I started it with the £100 I was paid for a story I gave to a magazine recently.

It’s the only money I’ve ever made from telling my side of this story and it belongs to them.

To be clear - I personally will not be taking a penny from this fundraiser. I already got my money back.

I just want to give these women what he thought he could take from them with no recourse.

Lastly, I don’t know a single victim by name.

We have no relationship and they have no idea I’m doing this.

I hope it’s taken in the right way and that I’m doing the right thing.
