Mistake that cost my savings

I'm happily married and father of beautiful children. I work in my family's mechanic shop and saved up to give my wife a beautiful wedding that she always wanted. After my wedding I was able save up just over 73k with help from family and friends.
I wanted to invest into stocks since it's well known that the market was down. I wanted to use my savings to put a bigger down payment on house to make life easier on the long run. I happened to invest into options not understanding that options expire. I invested my savings into the options and within a week I lost everything i worked so hard on saving. My wife and I were looking forward into finally purchasing a house and using the money on a down payment on a house of our own.
This mistake has cost me not only my savings but my pride as a father and husband. It hurt to have everything go that took years to save. This mistake caused me to have to borrow money just to pay for rent.
It's embarrassing to have to ask for money when I was the one who helped many people with donations. I have never been one to not help someone in need and now it's my turn to ask. So please help my family and I continue our dream of purchasing a home. Your help will be very appreciated.
