My name is Mark DuBose and I’m the founder and CEO of Palmetto State Audit LLC. We are a government watchdog group of sort, specializing in coaching & training everyday citizens, on the various methods to create transparency and accountability within their local and state governments. However, in what we think is an effort to discourage citizens, municipalities are driving up the cost of obtaining public information, and we believe that the Right to Know, is an essential variable in creating transparency and holding our public officials accountable.

For this reason, we are requesting contributions to assist S.C. citizens in offsetting the fees associated with Freedom Of Information Act request. Taxpayers, voters, and constituents, all have the right to request documentation from all public entities, as this information will allow them to, make informed decisions when running or voting for office, and participate in public meetings effectively.

Public information is detrimental to the citizens of South Carolina, and Palmetto State Audit. LLC, wants to make sure that we all have full access to the information we need….
