Home for a struggling family
Donation protected
We are raising funds to help Zoltan and his family buy their own home. Zoltan has worked hard all his life, doing roadside and potato field work, as well as various odd jobs. Unfortunately, due to a serious heart condition that required a pacemaker, he can no longer do physical labor. This forced his family to be without a home.
Zoltan comes from a poor background and does not have family support to rely on. Right now he sells newspapers in Leipzig to provide for his family back in Romania. They are living temporarily with relatives who also struggle to provide for them. The children were at risk of being taken away by child welfare due to their unstable living situation.
The funds will be used to pay off the remaining balance on buying a small wooden house in Romania. This simple house has one room, a stove for heating, and a small garden tap — enough to provide basic shelter and security. The remaining payments must be made to ensure the family can keep the house officially in Zoltan’s name.
Once the funds are collected, the payments will be directly given to the seller, who currently holds the contract. The house will then officially belong to Zoltan and his family, securing their right to stay there. This will give them a safe and stable home as Zoltan undergoes a heart transplant and continues to fight for his family’s future.
