My name is Nikki Region and I am raising funds for a dear friend, Shayna Rabess, whose family just got torn apart. 

Her husband, Jerome was attending a green card renewal appointment when he was detained by immigration and sent to the local jail because the detention center was full. Immigration told Shayna that Jerome would be deported. He has lived in this country legally for years and is a devoted father of four and beloved by his community. Their family lives in Tavares and their son attends Montessori at Rosebrough in Mount Dora.

Funds will cover: immigration attorney fees, loss of his income while this process plays out, court costs and necessary filings; basic needs for the children and household while navigating this crisis.
