Background

Maybe Bike Repair is making its debut on playa this year. We are a small camp with big gift energy. As a new Burning Man theme camp, we have limits to our camp size and planning horizon (e.g., capped at 25, not placed until June). As experienced burners and mechanical miracle makers, we have collectively fixed thousands of bikes on playa (hundreds in a day!) and want to deliver the best gift despite these perceived constraints.

Delivering robust bicycle repair and parts replacement on playa is our vision. It’s also expensive. Founded on service, we are rich in community. That’s where YOU come in!

This year, we are expecting conditions to be extra bumpy and dusty which is going to wreak havoc on bikes. Your donation can help us stock up on and sustain the essential parts and tools to deliver a full service bike repair experience. Otherwise, we will require Burners to bring their own replacement parts and specialty tools. It's doable but less fun for everyone, and we don't want to turn anyone away. We LOVE fixing bikes and burns!
