The 'Say No to Great Wolf' Action Group is a dedicated team working tirelessly to stop a proposed large American resort hotel complex being built on valued ancient farmland in the Whitwell Common and Clowne areas, near Worksop. The proposed development will irreversibly damage the local rural environment and bring a surge of unwanted traffic and pollution, totally disrupting the peace and character of the area, with very little in the way of benefits for the local community. If the proposed development goes ahead the associated farmland and countryside will be gone forever, planning permission must not be given.

Say ‘YES’ to countryside and farmland, say ‘NO’ to unwanted, pointless, business developments.

Our goal is to raise an initial sum of £10,000 to support our efforts in stopping the proposed development so the natural beauty, tranquillity, and wildlife of the area can be preserved long into the future. Too much local beauty has already been lost, so your support is crucial in helping us amplify our voice via the use of leaflets, flyers and banners, and to obtain requisite expert advice so sustainable, informed, community friendly decisions are made by council planning officers. And, in the event planning permission is given monies donated will support our appeal and help with associated legal costs.
