Meet the Salehi family - whose daughter is a famed member of the Afghan Dreamers - the National Girls Robotics team. When their lives were threatened ahead of the Taliban invasion of Kabul, the girls team embarked on a harrowing journey out of Afghanistan, through Doha, Islamabad, and then to Mexico City. The girls insisted that their families be saved. That is how the Salehi family found themselves in Mexico- and where our lives intersected! While I am pleased to announce that the famed Saghar Salehi of the Robotics team made her way to university elsewhere, the family remains in limbo in Mexico. By March, their meager housing funds will run out and they are not allowed to work under their current refugee Visa. While I am helping to gather their immigrant information, I also urgently need your help to help them eke their way through the next few months. The funds will go to housing for 11 persons and basic food, medicine, and hygienic items. I will be arranging the housing and procuring the items personally for them when I visit them in Mexico in March 2022. I thank you so much for your kind contribution and promise to keep donors up to date on the Salehi family situation.
