Fighting to keep the water in Paradise Dam
Bundaberg Fruit and Vegetable Growers Cooperative Ltd (BFVG) is a not for profit organisation established in 1948 to represent the fruit, vegetable, herb & nut producers in the Wide Bay Burnett Region of Queensland Australia. We advocate on grower’s behalf to increase the productivity & profitability of their businesses and the supply chain that supports them.
The Region’s growth and prosperity has been supported by Paradise Dam and allowed producers and businesses to invest heavily in the region with confidence.
Queensland State Government has made decisions to lower the water storage in and structural wall of Paradise Dam thus threatening the economic viability of our Industry and community.
We need to keep our community safe and protect the competitive advantage and prosperity of the region and we are therefore urging State Government and Sunwater to consider our independently sourced report by Dr Paul Rizzo of Rizzo International before further decisions are made about the Dam.

We are seeking contributions to assist in paying for Paradise Dam specific advocacy such as Dr Rizzo's Report and sincerely thank irrigators, businesses and individuals for contributing financially to this cause.
We are committed to representing the views of Industry and doing everything possible to ensure safe alternative options to reducing the capacity in Paradise Dam is considered.
