Saving our beautiful Paddington

Hi, I'm Britt. I moved to Paddington Central on Oxford Street in 2021, and over the years, I've really come to appreciate the village-like charm of Paddington. It's truly the most dog-friendly place around, the locals are always friendly and chatty, and we all make an effort to support the local businesses in the area. We’re incredibly fortunate to live in such a beautiful neighbourhood.

That's why I'm dedicated to raising awareness about how the Proposed Oxford Street Cycleway could impact our cherished way of life in this beautiful Sydney suburb. To help spread the word, I'm fundraising to print and distribute 10,000 flyers to our local community. My goal is to gather 20,000 signatures on the Change.org petition here to ensure our voices are heard and our concerns are taken seriously.

The people of Paddington support a greener city and cycleways, but not on this major arterial road to the Eastern Suburbs, where we have many pedestrians, beloved pets, and thriving small businesses. The cycleway should remain on Moore Park Road, where it has functioned well for years. We believe the funds would be better spent on hospitals and housing. This proposal, as it stands, offers no benefits to our community.
