We are trying to save our property! 3737 Chicago Ave South!
Last year in April of 2019, my fiance' lost his father after a long battle of dialysis and fighting to keep his health in tact to be with his family. Since he has been gone, we have taken over the finances to save our home that we live in with our children, but things have taken a turn and we need support to save our home.
Earlier this year in March 2020, we got a letter in the mail that our home was going into foreclosure if we weren't able to pay the balance of $60,000 in full or pay on a 3 time installment payment of $15,000. We just received another call this morning that the foreclosure process will be going into affect beginning August 1st, 2020 and we need funds to STOP this!
This house has been in the family for over 20 years and we want to save our property as black home owners to continue the legacy my father in-law worked so hard for during his time on this earth.
The funds will be used to pay the first installment payment of $15,000, which will then stop the foreclosure process and allow us to schedule payments going forward to secure our home for our family.
This support will mean a lot to my family and help us secure our future. Our kids love this home. This is our pillar, our legacy and a place that is sacred to us for many generations.
