Doesn’t need to be anything big. It costs more than $5 to buy a coffee these days. $5, $10, or any help sharing this will help beyond measure!
What The Funds Are Actually For
Our family is currently living in low-cost hotels after our home was unexpectedly condemned by the city. We are doing everything we can to stay safe, together, and stable while searching for an apartment that will take us.
All donations go directly toward hotel stays, basic necessities for our baby girl, and keeping our first/last/security deposit untouched so we can move into a rental the moment a landlord accepts us.
We are not asking anyone to buy us a house. The goal amount of 100,000 dollars was only set because in our area, the absolute cheapest possible thing to buy, if this fundraiser ever went viral or we received a miracle, is a 1970s single-wide mobile home listed around that price. I wanted to be transparent about the realistic numbers in case that kind of miracle happened.
But buying something is not the purpose of this fundraiser. Our immediate, daily reality is needing a safe hotel roof to keep our baby warm, fed, and stable while we search nonstop for permanent housing.
Anything helps more than you know.

Who We Are And What Happened
My fiancée and I are parents to a beautiful 4-month-old baby girl and an emotional-support dog who has been with us since we lost our son. We have always worked hard to support ourselves, and we never imagined WE would ever have to ask for help like this. We’re always the ones to offer help.
I had an accident that caused a work injury and have been on workers comp while healing. And with my fiancée on PFML. We thought we had enough on our plates. Overnight, we went from a stable family with a roof over our heads to living in hotels and scrambling to figure out how to keep our newborn safe.
We have tried everything, reaching out to local agencies, calling landlords, applying to every apartment we can, and following every lead we are given. But with rents being incredibly high and landlords being extremely picky, especially with temporarily reduced income and imperfect credit, finding a place has been far harder than we ever imagined.
Despite this, we remain hopeful. We are still going to open houses, talking with property managers, calling new listings daily, and following any lead we get. Budgeting every dollar to make our hotel stays stretch as long as possible.
We have first, last, and security saved and ready. But if we spend that money on hotels, we lose our chance at an apartment altogether. That is the trap we are trying desperately to avoid.
We just want somewhere safe and stable to raise our daughter.
We are fighting for our family and doing any/everything we can to keep our daughter safe, warm, and stable while we rebuild.
