Hi everyone, so this is the story of a skate shop that is really near and dear to my heart.Let me start by saying that the owner of this shop has no idea that I am doing this and that in reality I am sure he has given up all hope that we could even raise enough money in the next three weeks to really save this place.
Our community is really small. This place used to thrive but now it is seeing some hard times. This place is the greatest thing we have going. The owner is one of the coolest guys who does nothing but help the younger generation get into skating and try to make a positive impact on the community. He gives deals to buyers, lets us skate for pretty much free, and really goes out of his way to make sure everyone else is taken care of. There is no one more deserving than this guy and I mean that with no bias. This month is critical. If we can come up with 5000 dollars the shop will stay in existence, otherwise it will be gone, and so will the skate community of a tiny town in New Hampshire. We do not want a million dollars. We only need enough to stay around long enough to turn the tides of an industry that is continually being consumed by larger and larger companies that only care about dollars and not about the people. This skate shop/park is the realest place there is, and when winter rears it's ugly face it's the only place we have. I know times are hard, but this would mean the world to everyone in our small town. We don't have much, but what we do have we would like to keep.
Thank you, from all of us in the skateboard community of Dover, NH.
